Studying sociology and related social sciences has a strange impact on a person. I don’t believe it’s possible to study society and it’s inner working, rules and other related things, without changing your behaviour. You learn a few different rules along the way that helps you rationalize your decisions and your own worlds.<\/p>\n

What I’m going to talk about in these sociology posts can be also seen as a form of a Mind Hack.<\/p>\n

To properly start your sociology class is to start with basic notion:<\/p>\n

Humans are social beings.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

My interpretation of this notion is that you have to accept the social<\/strong> part of the idea. You’re part of your group<\/strong>, you follow norms<\/strong> and values<\/strong> of your culture<\/strong> and if you work and act alone, your potential is not fully realized.<\/p>\n

What I’ve done in this case is to interpret a lot of my decisions based on how social they are. This means that in contrast to staying alone far away for long times, you actually have to step out and meet and interact with others.<\/p>\n

The idea itself can be pretty abstract but it does stop me from doing things alone a lot of times. It also forces me to find positive things in team-work (which is very easy these days with all the great teams around me).<\/p>\n
