Cinelerra for Ubuntu 8.10 – Intrepid Ibex

Posted by: Jure Cuhalev In: Tech

Since we had yet another sunny weekend, I’ve decided to dive back into my past. Some time ago I was building Cinelerra packages, and I was wondering if it got any easier with Ubuntu 8.10.

I’m happy to report that Cinelerra compiles out of the box on Ubuntu 8.10 now, with no external repositories and with just minimal patching of their git repository.

For anyone interested in trying it out I’ve setup the new packages in my old repository:

Instructions:

1. Make sure you have universe, multiverse and restricted repositories enabled

2. Add the following repository to your sources.list file:

deb http://www.kiberpipa.org/~gandalf/ubuntu/intrepid/cinelerra/i686/ ./

Then you can just do:

apt-get update

apt-get install cinelerra
