Where is a Mechanical Turk review?

So by now we all fell in love with idea of Amazon Mechanical Turk. It is really simple: let humans do what machines can not and stop spending money on technology that won’t be there for another decade or four.

My question to blogosphere is: why is everyone just repeating their PR and stating some of opinions on it (via Technorati) and why no one actually reviews their site? Where is a first-hand write-up of whole user experience?

I really hope that I just can’t find the write-up because of the noise of PR copycats and someone will point it out and make a fool me.

  1. If you look closer, there is quite some criticism of former MT “workers” on several blogs. Some of that was written by me. Besides “Crowdsourcing” in the MT fashion is the most disgusting evil breed of e-capitalism, MT is implemented in an aweful way. Just try it yourself – it’s easy enough. Go and do expert work for 20 cents a week and see how much you’re in love with the idea then, feel how lovely it is when you kill jobs of translators and so on, just to kill your boredom.
